The report nobody runs
Volume by category, sorted descending, over three months. It takes a minute and it is a ranked list of the things your product or process does badly, weighted by how many customers they affect.
Turn categories into causes
A large category is a symptom. Read twenty tickets inside it and the cause is usually obvious and singular — a confusing step, a missing confirmation email, an ambiguous invoice line.
Make the handover formal
A monthly note to product or operations: the top three categories, the estimated ticket cost of each, and the one change that would reduce it. Support requests without numbers get ignored; support requests with volumes get scheduled.
Close the loop
When a fix ships, watch that category for the following quarter and report the reduction. This is how support earns a permanent seat in product decisions.
